How it works
Prior to Belkyra® treatment, patients receive a local anesthetic to numb the affected area. Belkyra is then injected in an evenly distributed manner under the chin using a patterned grid.
The solution reduces fat in the submental area using a synthetic version of deoxycholic acid. This acid breaks down fat and destroys fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat. After treatment, ice packs can be applied to help soothe the area. If more than one treatment is needed, they can be performed in 4-8 week intervals.

Your results
Patients usually wait for 24-48 hrs before returning to work. Results are typically seen four to six weeks following your treatment. Though your treatment will be noticeable after just one session, patients often require 3-5 treatments to achieve the full effect. Gradually, as the body eliminates submental fullness and fat, the double chin begins to appear much smaller and the jawline more defined.
